Seven Last Words of Christ
The Cross of Christ was a rescue operation hatched from eternity past to save mankind from the tyranny of sin and Satan. Angels watched in somber silence and abject horror, as their beloved Creator and Commander-in-Chief was pummeled and thrashed from Pilate’s court all the way to Calvary, by the very creatures He designed, created, and came to redeem.
His well-chosen words while in the throes of death by crucifixion give us an insight into his state of mind. “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” But did God really forsake the one He twice affirmed, saying: “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased”?
Every word Jesus uttered from the cross was salvific, pregnant with meaning, filled with promise, and brimming with symbolism. Join Gabriel Baptiste as he explores, analyzes, dissects, and scrutinizes the seven last words of the dying Messiah.
Show Me Your Ways Lord
God has benevolently implanted rich spiritual lessons in nature for our mental, spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial benefit. All that is required of us is to dig beyond the surface to unearth the treasures waiting to be discovered.
Can we really learn some valuable lessons from our friends in nature? I think we can. Do you know that, besides the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (the Bible), Mother Nature is our best teacher and that we have barely scratched the surface of her vast inventory of knowledge?
If we are conscious, patient, curious, observant, and inquisitive, she will happily reward us and unravel her deep secrets to us. Having observed both human and animal behavior, I have compiled a few “oh oh” (surprise) moments and applied biblical principles to assist us in our walk with God.
In the Beginning
This book is dedicated to the memory of our late granddaughter Shaney Tillman who left behind the adorable ten-month old, His Royal Majesty, Shane Foster. This charming little warrior was two years and ten-months at the time of this writing; and is currently busy, waging war on the doors of our kitchen cabinets, dishwasher, and refrigerator. We wish him well in his ongoing struggles in life.
This documentary, spanning from Creation to Jacob’s sojourn in Egypt, is purely the author’s imagination. While maintaining strict integrity of the Scriptures, he has transformed the biblical narrative into our modern day language. His aim is twofold. First, to give non-church goers a better perspective of biblical history as opposed to Hollywood’s fantasy. Second, to demystify this transformative book, and make it more user friendly. After all, it has survived the test of time to bring us a fresh picture of the genesis of the Creation; the interastion of God’s people with friends, and enemies alike; the blunders and repentance of biblical heroes; and God’s passionate love for humanity.
The narrative outside the biblical texts, and between actors and other involved are purely the author’s perception of what transpired among the actors of the biblical narrative. This work should not replace the Bible as the authority of truth. Bear in mind, the Bible is the original word of God, and anything written hereafter is much inferior to it. The biblical texts utilized in this work were taken from the: NKJV, KJV, NIV, ESV, LSV, GW and other versions of the Bible.
